New at norelem: high-quality forked photoelectric sensors

Robust metal forked photoelectric sensors with fork widths from 10 to 220 mm are a new addition to the norelem range. Thanks to their high level of accuracy, fast response time and reliability, forked photoelectric sensors are an effective solution for object detection in demanding environments such as assembly, handling and packaging technology.

       

Forked photoelectric sensors are optoelectronic devices that can detect objects within a defined area without contact. The sensors generate a precise visible red or invisible infrared light beam. The fine light beam is focussed across the entire width of the fork in a light spot with a very small diameter. If the light beam is interrupted by an object, this is detected by the receiver and forwarded in the form of a signal.

The transmitter and receiver are located in the same housing and are optimally aligned with each other. The sensitivity is set using an integrated potentiometer. This enables the smallest parts, holes, slots or grooves to be detected. The user can choose between dark switching (NC contact) or light switching (NO contact) via a selector switch directly on the device.

Object detection even in challenging environments

The forked photoelectric sensors available from norelem consist of a robust metal housing and, in contrast to plastic models, are particularly torsion-resistant. Thanks to the high IP67 protection class, the photoelectric sensors are also resistant to dust, dirt, water and other liquids. The connection is easy to install using M8 connectors (M8x1, 3-pin).

The new forked photoelectric sensors are used in assembly, handling and packaging technology or for product feeding. Among other things, they are used for part detection in feed units, contour detection of components, track edge control as well as edge and object detection.
