Small but mighty, norelem launches compact linear component range

The global standard components specialist, norelem, announces the launch of a compact range of linear housing units, ball bearings and shaft supports to secure machinery in small spaces. The new compact linear component range from norelem can be used in mounting and feeder machines as well as optical scanners and robots, offering a compact design to assist engineers who face space restrictions.

Marcus Schneck, CEO at norelem said: “This new range offers engineers stability and precision when working in tight spaces. With vital functions such as clamping and self-fastening, these parts are an essential everyday component.”

The range of compact products are easy to install and robust, giving engineers peace of mind that both the machinery and component will stay in place. The linear housing units can act as transport carriages extending along a straight line, and are made up of an aluminium housing with a pre-installed linear ball bearing and a seal on either side, making it a very lightweight component for simple installation.

The compact linear ball bearings are available with or without the self-aligning function. The regular steel version also has a plastic cage, whereas the self-aligning models are made up of a plastic housing, with runner plates, allowing them to correct misalignments to compensate for tolerances and prevent tilting.

Last but not least, the new norelem range includes shaft supports which also come in a compact form. They have a locating hole which allows easy and secure mounting of the guide shafts and are easy to assemble, offering fast alignment support with lateral clamping. The compact range of linear housing units, ball bearings and shaft supports are available to order directly from THE BIG GREEN BOOK, norelem’s internationally respected catalogue of over 60,000 standard components.
