With different sizes and tension force options, robust materials, mounting aids and re-tensioning options, the new chain tensioner range from norelem reliably covers almost every requirement in machine construction - from confined installation spaces to heavy-duty chain applications.

Chain tensioners are used in a wide range of machines and equipment. Their main task is to compensate for the gradual elongation of a chain caused by wear, by ensuring constant chain tension. This in turn increases the service life and reliability of a chain drive.

Chain tensioners from norelem are free-floating and spring-loaded - excessive surface pressure is avoided, while the total force of the chain weight and centrifugal force in the slack strand is optimally controlled. Installation is simple and should ideally be carried out close behind the drive sprocket in order to keep the length of the slack strand as short as possible. The chain tensioner housing is made from plastic or steel. Stainless steel housings are also available for the highest demands. The glide profiles are made of ultra-high molecular density polyethylene PE-UHMW.
