The assembly tool eases the fitting of connecting links in open roller chains. The chain ends are hooked onto the arms of the open assembly tool By turning the screw, the ends of the chain are pulled towards each other permitting the connecting link to be easily fitted.

Can also be used for similar sizes, other standards and two or three strand chains.
