This electro cylinder is a compact and powerful solution for precise linear movements in your machine.
The electro cylinder is an IO-Link spindle drive. The innovative all-in-one technology integrates a servo motor, a servo controller and a recirculating ball spindle in a compact design. Real-time setpoint values are output via the IO-Link communication interface.
The electro cylinder is compatible with existing systems and requires no space in the switchbox. Simple 2-point movements can be controlled via a digital signal, while potentiometers enable individual adjustment of force and speed directly on the drive.

The electro cylinder serves as an electromechanical spindle drive for linear movements. Its main components include the synchronous servo motor, the spindle drive and the integrated electronics. All components are located in the housing. The extension and retraction speed as well as the force limitation are infinitely set via twist knobs directly on the housing, or the set values are specified variably and in real time via the IO-Link interface. Speed, acceleration and other parameters can be altered, enabling positioning tasks to be realised as by complex servo applications. Control via simple digital signals, such as those used to control a simple pneumatic cylinder, is also possible.

Application
By a 48 V supply, the need for a brake chopper must be checked for each application. Surges can occur during generator operation (quadrants 2 and 4), which must be limited by a brake chopper.
