norelem positions – 02000

Product group 02000 from norelem is subdivided into five categories:

  • Self-aligning pads
  • Rest pads, locating pins
  • Extension pieces
  • Positioning feet
  • Support elements

Self-aligning pads

A self-aligning pad is used for tensioning, supporting and clamping workpieces. Whether as a thrust pad, stop or pad, the self-aligning pad can be used in a wide range of industries for many applications.

In addition to stainless steel, steel and heat-treatable steel self-aligning pads, the norelem range includes the following products:

  • Self-aligning pads with a swivel angle of 14° and 20°
  • Pads with O-ring
  • Auto-return self-aligning pads
  • Self-aligning pads with a swivel angle of 20°
  • Adjustable self-aligning pads
  • Adjustable self-aligning pads with O-ring, exchangeable inserts and hexagon socket

While the simple self-aligning pad is used in various industries, self-aligning pads with O-ring enable robust, consistent movement of workpieces.

In addition, the O-ring provides protection against the ingress of foreign bodies and dirt and thus enables trouble-free movement.

The auto-return self-aligning pads impress with their flexibility because the contact face swivels back to the starting position automatically. This prevents the ball from jamming or rotating and the contact point retains its defined starting position.

Rest pads, locating pins

Both pins are used to optimise positioning of workpieces and facilitate their fastening method.

Rest pads are used as pads for workpieces and fixtures. The advantage of rest pads lies in the possibility of punctiform fitting of a workpiece.

Locating pins, on the other hand, are used to position fixture parts in holes and workpieces. Locating pins acc. to DIN 6321 are used to fasten parts that are to be positioned in one direction. In particular, the flattened version of locating pins acc. to DIN 6321 helps to compensate for the tolerance in the spacing of several holes.

In addition to the standard versions of rest pads and locating pins, norelem standard parts include products such as threaded rest pads or
positioning pins and locating bushes for locating pins.

Extension pieces

An extension piece increases the reach of various connecting elements such as spring plungers, support bolts and positioning feet. As the name suggests, the main function of extensions is to lengthen something.

The norelem range includes: Extension pieces made of heat-treatable steel and stainless steel with thread sizes of M5 – M16.

Positioning feet

Positioning feet are a type of foot that is attached to workpieces, machines or furniture to stabilise them and prevent parts from slipping.
The components are also used for positioning and supporting parts and are mainly used in machine and equipment construction.

Positioning feet are available in different sizes (for threads M6 – M20) and shapes, while the base body is made of different types of steel, the material of the mounting or contact face can be differentiated as follows:

  • Carbide
  • POM
  • Steel

In addition to swivel feet, the positioning feet are available with a contact face diameter of 6 mm to 36 mm and with a serrated, flat or round mounting or contact face.

Support elements

Support elements are used in production companies to stabilise and secure machines and systems, as well as individual workpieces. They provide protection against vibrations and shocks caused by machine operation.

With 43 product families, this category is the largest in the norelem standard part system 02000. In addition to support elements such as support bolts, magnetic feet and clamping pads, the category also includes inserts and the screw jack.

The
screw jack is used to support and stabilise workpieces or other parts. It is therefore also referred to as a straightening element.
