New in clamping technology

norelem has many new products to facilitate clamping and fastening of workpieces and components.

norelem has significantly expanded its clamping technology section: More than 800 items have been added to the existing clamping technology range. For example, there are innovations and expansions in the zero point clamping technology and in the clamp strap and plate categories.

In the main group "norelem positions", the categories "Plates", "Add-on elements", "Tombstones" and "Workholding towers" were added to the subgroup 01000. These products serve as the basis for a clamping fixture. Among other things, three new product families are available in the "Plates" category: base plates made of grey cast iron with grid holes in rectangular and round versions as well as pallets made of grey cast iron with grid holes. With these solutions, which can be positioned and fastened directly on machine tables, users can create modular fixtures.

In subgroup 04000, norelem has, among other things, extended the category "Clamp straps" with seven product families. Clamp straps, also called claw clamps, belong to the mechanical clamping elements. Both prefabricated assemblies and individual parts are available from norelem, which can be used to create customised assemblies. Different forms and versions ensure that the clamp straps can be used for a wide range of tasks and applications. Claw clamps are required in machine construction, fixture construction and prototype construction. Among other things, they ensure that the workpiece is held securely during milling and welding.

Last but not least, norelem has introduced the new subgroup 42000 "Zero point clamping technology". This includes four categories: "Zero-point clamping systems", "5-axis modular clamping systems 80", "5-axis modular clamping systems 50" and "5-axis modular clamping systems 138". In this category, norelem has brought together a whole range of tools that save time and effort when clamping. Zero-point clamping systems enable a quick and accurate clamping and referencing of fixtures and workpieces on all clamping machine tools, machining centres, vertical eroding machines and metrology machines. Whether subplate, fixture, vice or workpiece, these systems allow an exchange with a defined reference point in a matter of seconds and repeat accuracy of less than 0.005 mm.
